Headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, Embelton employs over 100 permanent staff along with hundreds of contractors across three countries and seven capital cities. Embelton also has key distribution relationships in Asia and the South Pacific.
Embelton works with leading acoustical consultants, structural design engineers, architects, builders and installers to design and supply solutions for acoustic isolation, vibration control and flooring. As a result, Embelton’s product portfolio showcases many major projects across Australia, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Further, Embelton is one of Australia’s largest wholesale distributors of flooring, sold through an extensive network of flooring retailers.

Embelton has provided quality fabrication of specialised high-temperature and corrosion resistant alloys for more than 50 years. With manufacturing operations based out of Coburg, Victoria, the company is a major supplier to the heat treatment, power generation, petro-chemical and process industries.
Embelton’s Skinner Bending division runs alongside its fabrication operations, to offer a range of metal bending and rolling services for use in architectural and functional applications. Experienced with a range of materials, the company has provided metal bending services for a number of prominent applications across Australia, including the Sandhurst Bridge Sculptures on Melbourne’s Southbank Precinct, and the handrails in Crown Casino.
Embelton cork and rubber division has manufactured cork and rubber products for over 30 years. Cork is famed for its impact absorption and noise suppression capabilities, and in the case of Spandex, its jointing capabilities. Rubber is also a proven sound isolator. Both are widely used to achieve a superior acoustic performance. Embelton offers a number of cork-rubber combination products, primarily gaskets and flooring underlays.

Prior to joining the company as Managing Director, Mr Embelton had 15 years experience in financial services most recently with Macquarie Group Limited, where he was a Division Director. Earlier he spent ten years in the North American Financial Services Sector, including time as a Director for Legg Mason in Toronto, responsible for business development with Financial Institutions and Pension Funds.
Prior to this Mr Embelton was Associate Vice-President for AIC Mutual Funds. He completed a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University in 1992, has completed the Canadian Securities Institute designation and completed the first level of the Chartered Financial Analyst Program in 2004.
Ross Baldwin, DipCE, FIEAust,
Appointed Non-Executive Director in 2002.
Mr Baldwin consults to clients involved in all aspects of development, construction, operation and maintenance of major infrastructure projects. He also specialises in advising on projects in the Asian region, having been resident there for eleven years, during which time he occupied key positions including Director and/or Managing Director with companies which undertook significant infrastructure and mining projects.
He is a director, immediate past Chairman and principal of Flagstaff Consulting Group and a director of Flagstaff Engineering Services, also a former Managing Director of John Holland Asia, former Director of the Overseas Projects Corporation of Victoria and the Mayfair Hanoi Joint Venture.

Martin Crabb, BA
Appointed Non-Executive Director in October 2014.
Martin is currently a director of and Head of Research at Shaw and Partners. Martin provides advisers and clients with research insights into global macroeconomics, asset allocation and equity strategy.
Prior to Shaw and Partners, Martin was with Macquarie Group Limited where he was an Executive Director in charge of Dealer Services within the Banking and Financial Services Group. Martin spent over 20 years at Macquarie in various roles across Wealth Management and Institutional Stockbroking.
