Engineering Warehouse Manager

Your Role:

As the Engineering Warehouse Manager, you will be the driving force behind the efficient functioning of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Customer Service: Embrace a customer-centric mindset and work closely with our dedicated sales team to address inquiries. Anticipate customer needs and collaborate to deliver exceptional service to maintain strong relationships.
  • Timely Deliveries: Ensure on-time delivery of materials to our valued customers.
  • Transportation Coordination: Organise transportation for goods dispatch, optimising delivery routes and minimising costs.
  • Material Sourcing: Partner with suppliers and vendors to source top-quality materials at the best possible prices, ensuring uninterrupted production.
  • Inwards Goods Management: Oversee the receipt and inspection of incoming materials, maintaining accuracy and organisation.
  • Assembly & Manufacturing: Lead the assembly of materials and, in some instances, oversee the manufacturing process, ensuring products meet our high-quality standards.
  • Stock Management: Implement strategies to maintain optimal stock levels, avoiding shortages or overstocking. Maintain effective stock control systems.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of 5 personnel, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional growth.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Ensure the warehouse is well-organised, clean, and equipped to handle our operational needs efficiently.
  • OH&S Excellence: Uphold exceptional OH&S standards, promoting a safe and secure work environment for all team members.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Adept problem-solving abilities and excellent organisational skills.
  • An understanding of manufacturing processes and materials management.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
