About Us
The Embelton Group of Companies was founded in 1925, and listed as a publicly listed company on the Australian Stock exchange in 1958.
With its emphasis on supply of specialized building materials, the Group operates in two broad market sectors - timber flooring and noise and vibration isolation, with further operations in metals fabrication and cork & rubber products.
TIMBER, BAMBOO, LAMINATE AND CORK FLOORING
Timber flooring and ancillary products include a full range of hardwood floors - from traditional structural plank flooring through to parquetry and pre-finished engineered flooring. Other core flooring products include bamboo, laminate and cork tiles.
In addition to its own manufacturing operations, the company imports and operates as a wholesale distributor throughout Australia, and is currently one of the largest importers of high quality compressed strand woven bamboo.
Embelton is also a leader in the supply of high quality sprung timber sports floors, combining the expertise of its flooring division with its noise and vibration isolation division.
NOISE & VIBRATION ISOLATION
With more than 60 years experience in control of vibration, Embelton is the Australasian market leader in the provision of engineered solutions for problems of structure-borne noise.
The standard range of vibration isolation devices embrace spring mountings, rubber isolators, resilient pads and hanger systems including seismically rated equipment. Added to this full range of catalogue items is a comprehensive design service.
In providing unique engineering solutions for problems of structure-borne noise, the Company's design group has for many years been involved with isolation of noise in critical structures including television studios, theatres, hotels, hospitals and other institutional buildings where a range of environmental controls are paramount.
METALS FABRICATION
Embelton is a manufacturer of high temperature alloy products and industrial furnace components, used in a wide variety of commercial applications, ranging from heavy industrial piping in buildings, to artistic metal sculptures, as featured on Melbourne's Southbank.
CORK AND RUBBER
This division manufactures a range of specialized cork and rubber products, in a wide range of industrial specifications, including our industry leading ImpactaMat, an acoustically rated noise reduction underlay. Other products include self expanding cork jointing for concrete pavements, and a full range of recycled rubber sheet products.
Operating from a network of ten offices throughout Australia, the Group is widely represented in North Asia, South-East Asia and the Middle East.
